From the moment that we began planning for Mosoj Chaski we were fully committed to the principle that this ministry would be totally in the Quechua language. Whether it was programs, music, news or publicity, everything would be in Quechua. And we have maintained that resolve. Each of the Mosoj Chaski ministries, whether it be literature, training or literacy, is all done in Quechua. For that reason we decided to open our own Christian bookstore that would focus exclusively on Quechua language materials.

The bookstore in the city of Sucre opened in 2004. They now cover 20% of their budget through sales. However, they pay rent for the building and a phone line, which obviously raises the cost.

Both stores provide whatever Christian literature is available in Quechua (mostly what Mosoj Chaski has produced), a good supply of Quechua Christian music, tracts, Christian stickers and Bibles.
Every day there is a steady stream of visitors. Some come to buy something, or to put a personal message on the radio. Often they also are looking for advice and encouragement in dealing with some problem. These problems range anywhere from personal or family problems to church-related problems. Often they are just looking for a sympathetic ear. The bookstore visitors also want to meet the people behind the voices that they hear daily over the airwaves. Many have expressed that Mosoj Chaski has become a trusted friend, and some say that Mosoj Chaski is the only pastor they have.
